David Stevens

1947 - 2024

Mr. David Stevens, age 76, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, in Mountain Home.

Born on Sept. 29, 1947, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Charles and Alice (Macintosh) Stevens, David's life was characterized by dedication, service, and love.

David devoted over 40 years of his life to the noble profession of mill working. He worked diligently at the Hardy Salt Factory, Ranger Boats and Microplastics before embracing a well-deserved retirement. His commitment and hard work left an indelible mark on the industry.

A man of deep faith, David found solace and purpose in his love for the Christian Church. He cherished his role in supporting and helping his church friends, often expressing, "I am just giving back to the Lord." His generosity and compassion touched the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impact on the community he held dear.

David's journey in life took a significant turn after high school when he enlisted in the Army. It was during his service that he met the love of his life, Mary. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with a son, Charles Stevens (La), and a daughter, Charlene Stevens. David was a loving grandfather to David, Kat and a proud great-grandfather to Emma.

He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Kuenzer, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry fond memories of their beloved uncle. David is preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife, Mary Stevens, with whom he shared 50 years of companionship, one brother, and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4 at Roller Funeral Home where Military Honors will be presented. Burial will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
