Debbie Pyle Obituary

Debbie Pyle, 72, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died peacefully at the Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville on April 28, 2023.

She was born Deborah Jo Dickenson on Feb 19, 1951, in Memphis, Tennessee to Charlie and Fran Dickenson.

Debbie moved with her family from Memphis to Jacksonville, Florida, Rockville, Maryland, and Mountain Home in 1971, where she met her first husband, Don House. Debbie and Don married in 1974 and raised their daughter, Shelby, in Mountain Home. After Don passed away, Debbie relocated to northwest Arkansas.

Debbie exuded happiness and positivity. She had an amazing laugh and an even bigger heart. She was a survivor of polio and breast cancer. She always made time for community service, volunteering in numerous organizations and becoming a foster parent. She held several jobs during her time in Mountain Home, including serving as Mountain Home city clerk for 16 years. In NWA, she worked at the Fayetteville Athletic Club and the Jones Center in Springdale before retiring. Debbie was a favorite co-worker, building friendships with many.

For the past 15 years, Debbie shared adventures with her husband, Ronnie Pyle, after reconnecting on classmates.com. They remodeled several homes together, enjoyed the beach life on the gulf coast, spent time on the lakes in Arkansas and indulged their dog, Pippa. They were a great team while caring for family members and hosting holiday gatherings.

Debbie will be missed by many. She was always a giving person, generous with her time and energy to make other's lives better. She was the quintessential "people person," loved meeting new people and was genuinely interested in their story.

She is survived by husband Ronnie Pyle, daughter Shelby (John) Staggs, mother Fran Grice, brother Chip (Wynn) Dickenson, several nieces and nephews and her beloved Great Pyrenes dog, Pippa.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father Charlie Dickenson; sister Susan Frazier and first husband, Don House.

A private memorial service will be held at a future date.

Memorials may be made to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter or Circle of Life Hospice Home, Bentonville.

Aunt Debbie was one of my favorite people. Her smile and laugh were infectious! She lived with us when she first moved to Fayetteville and we had so much fun with her. I loved to play cooking show with her-I would cook, pretend I´m hosting a show and she would follow behind me and clean the mess I made. She loved cleaning more than anyone I´ve met. I learned how to use makeup from watching her and hanging out while she was getting ready. She was an amazing woman-mother, wife, aunt, sister, daughter, friend. I will miss her dearly!

Debbie will be greatly missed, she had an infectious laugh and love for life. We are cousins and always will be. It´s hard when family is spread out so far around. Much love and prayers to her family. I know she is visiting with Uncle Charlie, Uncle Jim´s and my Dad. God´s speed Debbie until we meet again.

Debbie was a wonderful woman. She always had that infectious smile on her face ! I, unfortunately had not see Debbie in years as we live in NY, but when we came for family visits, years ago, it was ALWAYS the most enjoyable time. Debbie was loved by so many, and will be missed by all.

I love you, Debbie.
Shelby, when my Mom (Aunt Kathryn) died, I was told that I'd likely never 'get over it', but that I Would eventually get to where I could function without her.
It was true. It was rough, but it was true.

She was so loved! I enjoyed everyday working with her at The Jones Center. I remeber how much she loved listening to her Rod Stewart Christmas Album every holiday, I also think of her when I hear on of his songs come on during the holidays. What a JOY, Debbie you will be missed!!!!!
