John Ayars Obituary

John Robert "Jack" Ayars, Jr., 78, of Yellville passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born Feb. 14, 1944, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late John Sr. and Virginia (Parmenter) Ayars.

Jack was a truck driver for over 34 years, earning the distinctive recognition as a 2.5 million mile driver with no accidents. He also was a member of the Presidential Team of Drivers, drivers with no accidents with many years of service. He loved his family and all his cats and dogs.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Todd Allen Ayars.

Jack is survived by his companion of 28 years, Eleanor Cates of Yellville, daughter and son-in-law Laurie Ann (Jay) Kitchens of Summerville, South Carolina; stepchildren Laura Anne Knapp of Montana and Shannon Crofoot of Indiana; grandchildren Cheyenne Crofoot of Indiana, Todd, Hunter, Jonathan and Alexandria Leeman of Ohio and many more family and friends.

Arrangements are private under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
