Lillian Halsey Obituary
Lillian Elaine Halsey, age 78, of Everton, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison. She was born December 27, 1937, in Almena, Kansas, the daughter of Ernest Dewitt and Rosealie (Von Stiers) Rodenbaugh. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mariane Elizabeth Murphy and Vernita Adella Pepper; her daughters, Terry Anita Odegard and Lesa Carol Halsey; and her son, Ernest Glenn Halsey.
Lillian is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Chris Devine of Harrison and Tammy and Rick Tenison of Gassville, Arkansas; and her sons, Gary Halsey, Sr. of Hector, Arkansas and Charles Halsey of Green Forest, Arkansas.
She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and their spouses, Timothy and Mona Odegard of Memphis, Tennessee, Tabetha Odegard of Harrison, Gary and Marie Halsey, Jr. of Hector, Mark Halsey of Hector, Lois Halsey of Dover, Arkansas, Tiffany and Vince Stewart of Lead Hill, Arkansas, Austin Devine of Harrison, Andrew Devine of Harrison and Hayden Moore of Gassville; and four great-grandchildren, Jude Odegard, Brandon Halsey, Jacob Halsey and Kaylee Halsey. She is also survived by her nieces, Pam Sullins, Beth Morris, and Dianne Hicks; and her nephew, Robert Murphy; as well as numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, August 22, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Maplewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills, PO Box 1927, Harrison, AR 72602, or to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University, Little Rock, AR 72207.
