Mary Wolverton Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Wolverton, 86

Mary Elizabeth Epperly Wolverton 86, passed away on January 15, 2014.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00pm January 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church Mountain Home, AR. Tad Rogers of First Baptist Church will be officiating.

Mary was born in Thomas Hill, MO on October 28 1927 to Percy Andrew and Josie Fern Corder Epperly. She graduated from Thomas Hill School.

Mary was married to Charles Edward Wolverton on March 29, 1948- they were married for 65 years. They lived in Thomas Hill, MO, Gainesville, MO, Marshfield, MO, Branson, MO, Mountain Home, AR and Bauxite, AR. They were lifelong members of the First Baptist church.

Mary worked as a flower designer, sold Avon and worked as a volunteer at the U of A Extension office for a number of years. She enjoyed painting, crafts, wood carving, making wedding cakes and flower arrangements. She was actively involved in Clean Baxter County Roads (Environmental Achievement Award 1994), church activities including the choir, Eastern Star, Hilltop Extension Homemakers, North AR Woodcarvers, Master Gardening, Garden Club, volunteering at the Baxter County Fair and 4-H Clubs.

Mary is survived by her husband Charles "Ed" Wolverton three sons Randy (Ruth) Wolverton, Marvin (Theresa) Wolverton and Terry (Ruth Ann) Wolverton. Ten Grandchildren: Joshua Wolverton, Samantha (Brandon) Lamb, Tabitha (Gary) Connolly, Mariann Wolverton, Karen Wolverton, Amy Wolverton, Lori Wolverton, Natalie Wolverton, Sarah (Caleb) Houston, Andrew Wolverton. Six Great-Grandchildren: Makenzie, Sydni & Evie Lamb, Caylee & Connor Connolly and Rilea Houston.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Percy and Josie Epperly, a brother Robert Epperly, a son Roger Lane Wolverton and a daughter Debra Marie Wolverton.
