Michael Weiss Obituary

Michael Neal Weiss, 46, passed away with his wife Amy Weiss, 44, on July 5, 2023, in a car accident near their home in Eureka Springs.

Michael was born and raised in Maryland, the beloved son of Ron and Helen Weiss of Cotter, and Karen Curran of Charlotte, North Carolina. As a teenager, Michael was a gifted athlete who played many sports. After high school, Michael joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served part of his time in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

In 2021, Michael and Amy moved to Arkansas from Maryland to help care for his mother Helen as her health was failing. Michael and Amy celebrated their wedding in Cotter on Nov. 26, 2022.

After their marriage, Michael and Amy began a life together in Eureka Springs.

Michael enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, fishing and restoring his '79 Monte Carlo. He spent his time working on his new house, landscaping, and caring for his dog Lilly. Ultimately, Michael's two greatest loves were his daughter, Brea and his wife, Amy.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Brea Weiss; his stepson, Jacob and Jeremy Moore; his father Ron Weiss; his mother, Karen Curran; his sister, Kelly Weiss Blank; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was joined in death with his wife, Amy was preceded in death by his mom, Helen Weiss, and his grandparents, Ralph and Evelyn Weiss.

A memorial service has not yet been scheduled. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that those who wish to donate would please give to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) on Michael's behalf, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
