Albert H. Meyer, 78 of Friendswood, Texas passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Albert is survived by his wife of 58 years Kathryn L. Meyer, of Friendswood, Texas, sons Peter Johnston and wife Loretta of Jasper Texas, Gray P. Meyer and wife Angele of League City, Texas, Mason C. Meyer and wife Connie of Friendswood, Texas, daughter Paula K. Henry and husband Robert of Friendswood, Texas, grandchildren, Callie Vojacek and husband Aaron, Katelyn Henry, Daniel Henry, Ashley Meyer, Morgan Meyer, Todd Anderson and wife Christina, and Robyn Myers and husband Matt.
Albert was born on Main Street in Houston, Texas on December 16, 1933 to Newton J. Meyer and Apollonia Arcos. He was a Charter Member and Deacon of St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church in Houston, Texas. He was a member of the Park Place Masonic Lodge. He was 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Arabia Temple in Houston, Texas. He was a Charter Member of the AL Amin Shrine Temple in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a lifetime member of the Pipefitters Local 211. He was an avid sports fan.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents Newton and Apollonia Meyer, brother's Bill, Newt and Joe Meyer, sister's Emily Crespo and Frances Ingle, and his daughter Toye Michelle Meyer.
A visitation was held at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200, on Friday, August 24, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services were held at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. John Wise officiating. A private Interment was held at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
