Albert Mumma Obituary

Albert Hewitt Mumma, 93, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2022. He was born March 25, 1929 in Wilkinsburg, PA to Milton and Mabel (Zullinger) Mumma. He grew up in Charleston, WV, and graduated from Charleston High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia before serving in the U.S. Navy, and then obtained his Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan after his discharge. He transferred to Seabrook, TX in 1972 with E.I. DuPont where he worked at their LaPorte plant until his retirement in 1993. He was a long-time member of Clear Lake Presbyterian Church and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Frank and Richard, and sister Elizabeth. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Joanne, and his children Steven Mumma (Carolyn) of Rumson, NJ; Bruce Mumma (Carol) of New Braunfels, TX; Bob Palladini (Angie) of Houston, TX; and Kathy Palladini (Keith) of Alvin, TX; grandchildren Andrew Mumma (Margo), Lindsay Mumma, and Kristin Mumma; Elizabeth Gilman (Ted); and Ryan Palladini; and great-grandchildren Leighton Mumma and Teddy and George Gilman.

A memorial service was held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Gloria Dei Endowment Fund or to a charity of your choice.
