On January 6, 2019, Arlene Joyce (Curto) Richards, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully went to be with the Lord at the Crossings Life Care Community in League City, Texas at the age of 85. She was born on November 2, 1933 in Racine, Wisconsin to Joseph and Frances Curto. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Mary Curto Cosentino, George, Frank, Laura and Josephine Curto. She worked as a ward secretary at Trinity Memorial Hospital for over 20 years. She was very artistic and creative and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and baking. She was treasured by her beloved husband, daughter, and grandsons. Her creativity, kindness, and patient nature will be missed but always remembered.
Arlene is survived her loving husband of 60 years, Bruce Thomas Richards as well as her loving daughter Karen Richards Adams and her husband Robert and her two grandsons, Daniel and Blake, all of Houston. She also is survived by her niece Evie Bradberg of Hawaii.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 East Medical Center Boulevard Webster, Texas, with a Rosary at 7pm.
The family would like to thank The Crossings staff for the loving care they provided Arlene for 2 years 3 months that she resided there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St.Clare of Assisi Catholic Church-Building Fund, 3131 El Dorado in Houston, Texas 77059.
