Gene Allen Wright, of League City, Texas passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the age of 86. He was born September 9, 1930, in Newton, West Virginia to Frank and Margaret Wright and retired from Kodak in 1989 after serving in the US Air Force for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Sam, his son Wayne, and grandson Jeff. Gene is survived by his wife Barbara of 64 years; daughter Bobbie Brown and husband Dave of League City; son Rick and wife Karen of Parker, Tx; his brother John and wife Lu of Roanoke, Va; three grandsons Chris Wright and wife Michelle, Dan Brown and wife Amber, and Wayne Brown and wife Emily; and six great grandchildren GraceyAnn, Jacob, Matthew, Moses, Zachary, and Aiden. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11am at New Hope Baptist Church in Dickinson, Texas and burial in Ft Collins, Co. at a later date.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice, 1322 Space Park Drive, Suite A194, Houston, Texas 77058.
