Glenda Wright Obituary

Glenda Austin Wright went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Keller, TX. She was born on December 20, 1938 in Evant, TX to John and Hazel Austin.

Glenda grew up in Nederland, TX, graduating from NHS in 1957. Her senior year she was thrilled to be selected as a member of the newly-formed Nederland Westernaires drill team. Throughout her life she never met a stranger and was usually the life of the party. She considered her greatest achievements to be her children and earning an associate's degree in dental hygiene while caring for her growing family. In 1993 she moved to the D/FW area to continue her life's work as a dental hygienist.

She is survived by her daughters, D'Layne Jacobs (Chris) of Nederland and Joy Rice of Dallas; son, Brent Wright of Haslet, TX; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kerry Austin of Nederland.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Wright; and brother Durell Austin. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 on Saturday, April 17, at Crossroads Church, 2005 Peterson, Nederland, TX. Mask are optional.

I enjoyed caring for this beautiful woman. She was such a joy, a smile on her lips and a rejoicing song in her heart. I love you my Missy Mae
