Isobel Fenton Gardner, 73, of Houston, Texas passed away October 23, 2014 in Memphis, Tennessee with her family by her side.
Isobel was born in Glasgow, Scotland December 24, 1940 to William Alexander Kane Fenton and Jeanie Glendinning Gunn Fenton. She went to Govan High School. She moved to Texas in 1959, fulfilling her dream of coming to America. She married her husband James William Gardner December, 16, 1961. She raised her family and lived in Clear Lake City for over 40 years. She worked in banking for many years and finished her career in the Finance Dept., at Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority.
Isobel is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years James W. Gardner, her parents William and Jeanie Fenton, her brothers Thomas and Stewart Fenton, her step son James Parker Gardner, and granddaughter Lindsay Grace Peterson.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Robert Gardner, Robert's wife Cindy, her daughter Melissa Gardner Peterson, Melissa's husband Gordon, her brothers Jimmy and Robert Fenton, her sister Jeanie Branson, and her grandchildren Robert Gardner, Holly Gardner, Jessie Peterson, Jake Peterson, Camryn Peterson, and James Gardner.
Memorials may go to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Forest Park East Cemetery 21620 Gulf Freeway. Webster, Texas 77598.
