Marilyn and Jess were two of the most special people I have known. As their pastor for many years I treasured their love, support and wisdom (Of course, with Jess I also received a lot of specific advice as well). Their wonderful children were an extension of their natural spirit of goodness. After Jess's and Mark's death, Marilyn and I became even closer and enjoyed times of deep conversation. Her classic style was an inspiration both to me an my wife, Jennie, with whom she shared an equal amount of appreciation and love. With Marilyn and Jess I learned that memories are not only special, they are sacred.

Dear Overman Family,
There are so many special memories of Marilyn and her always joyful presence! It is difficult to believe her season on earth has come to an end. But gratefully, her legacy and positive impact will live on!! Jess & Marilyn were sponsors for Gary and I during our engagement and wedding. What a blessing and privilege it was to have them as our marriage mentors. (32 years and counting.) It has been many years since I have had the pleasure of face to face visits with Marilyn. But I will forever treasure the many fond memories and her friendship!
May you too find comfort for your sad hearts in the lifetime of wonderful memories!
