Ronnie Lee Fields passed away at the age of 71 in Nassau Bay, Texas on February 24, 2018. He was born in San Angelo, Texas on January 17, 1947 to Jeff and Sarah Fields. He just celebrated 49 years of marriage with his wife Valerie Jan on January 18. They met and fell in love while attending college and then married 2 years later in Fort Worth, Texas. He then graduated from Texas Tech University. For most of Ronnie's business career he has worked in the Dairy Industry. This has taken them to many interesting places to live, including: Anaheim, CA; San Jose, CA; San Francisco, CA; and many cities throughout Texas with most of the time spent in Houston and El Paso. For over the past 20 years Ronnie worked for Farmers Dairy Ltd. (El Paso, Texas) and Farmers Select LLC. (El Paso, Texas) which is a subsidiary of Select Milk Producers Inc. Serving as President and General Manager. This is where his employers, coworkers and employees became beloved family and dear friends making it hard to retire. Ronnie was also a member of the Dairy Products Institute of Texas, where he was on the Board of Directors for many years. He felt honored to be a part of this organization where he was inducted into their Hall of Fame after serving many years. He was a man who strived to help each company and organization he worked for be as successful as possible. Ronnie enjoyed reading, playing golf, watching Texas Tech football games, and listening to music while cooking with Valerie. Ronnie and Valerie also loved going on trips together, especially to the Caribbean where they could spend their time together watching and listening to the beautiful waves. Family was very important to Ronnie and he really enjoyed spending time with each of them. With having 7 grandchildren ranging in ages from 19 to 4 years old, they kept him busy each time they came for a visit. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Sarah Fields. He is survived by his beloved wife Valerie, his daughter Ronda and son-in-law Manuel along with their four children Sarah, Carolina, Maya, and Isaac Gomez, and his daughter Amanda and son-in-law Coker along with their three children Cody, Daren, and Brianna Barbee.
