William Inskeep, 84, of Friendswood, TX died November 30, 2013. Bill was born October 6, 1929 in Centerville, Iowa. He was the second of four children born to John Dean Inskeep, Sr. and Margaret Kate McDaniel Inskeep. Bill graduated from LeesburgHigh School in Leesburg, Virginia and obtained degrees of BSBA from the University of Missouri and a MS in Accounting from the University of Houston. He retired as a Lieutenant in the US Naval Reserve after having served in the active Navy in 1948-57. He earned medals of UN Forces, Korean Theatre, National Defense and the Republic of Viet Nam Presidential Unit Citation. Bill retired as an Internal Revenue agent and a CPA. He moved from Houston to Leona, Texas, where he and his wife lived for 19 years. He resided in Friendswood since 2010.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Dorothy Beard and Mary Ann Rhead, grandson Ryan Mendez and great granddaughter Emma Houston.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Vera Hills Inskeep; brother John Inskeep of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; sons, Terrance and Thomas Inskeep; daughters, Laura (Mrs. Rob) Bradley, Patricia (Mrs. William) Bryant, Kathleen (Mrs. Nathaniel) Mendez, and Sandra (Mrs. James) Lodge; grandchildren, Kristin Bryant (Mrs. Mike) Stiles, Eric Mendez, Katie Mendez (Mrs. Brian) Houston, Jennifer Lodge, Trevor Lodge and Joshua Mendez; and great granddaughter Hannah Houston.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at the Cokesbury Methodist Church, 10030 Scarsdale, Houston, TX 77089 with Rev. Mark Pederson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
