Keith DeFrancesco Obituary

Keith J. DeFrancesco, 64
HARTLY, DE - Keith J. DeFrancesco passed away December 23, 2022.
Keith was born on September 16, 1958, to the late Carl and Marlene DeFrancesco in Manchester, NH. After graduating from Dover High School, Keith went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy on board the USS Jason. Upon honorable discharge, he worked as a Boilermaker for AMTRAK, and retired as their nationwide welding instructor.
Keith enjoyed traveling, Spartan races, golfing, NASCAR, football (die-hard Raiders fan), exercising and riding his Harley; but most of all he cherished family reunions.
His unwavering commitment as a devoted father kept him happily busy as a baseball coach for Marydel Little League and as a soccer coach with CDSA. As his devotion to the Catholic faith grew, he was passionate about his commitment and involvement with Immaculate Conception Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Above all, family was of the highest importance and what he valued most.
Keith was a people's person, truly a good man with a big heart, amazing Dad, amazing Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend and co-worker.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Marlene DeFrancesco; and daughter, Alexis A. DeFrancesco.
Keith is survived by his wife, Anthula Saloustros DeFrancesco; son, Joseph DeFrancesco; daughter, Gina (Nick) DeFrancesco; siblings, Carlene Ann (Rick) Myers, Mary (Jim) Voss, Scott DeFrancesco; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, Goddaughters, many close and long-time friends; and his little buddy, Ziggy.
The family will receive friends at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Del., from 4-6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 1, 2023.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church, 522 Main Street, Marydel, MD 21649.

I just recently learned of keith's passing...I knew him from the YMCA and found him to always be friendly, engaging and an inspiration in physical fitness. Even though I could never keep up with him he was always cheering me on and I always looked forward to his presence. I will always keep him on my mind when working out and tip my cap to his memory...My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Keith was an inspiration and I have many fond memories as Scott and I would ask for a ride or his car to attend high school dances. I offer my sincere condolences to you Scott and the DeFrancesco family!!
