In 2014 K9 Evo made her way from Washington State to Arizona at the age of Fourteen (14) months old via airplane. This is where she met her handler and best friend, Fire Marshall Joe Bracamonte, with the City of Globe Fire Department. K9 Evo spent ten (10) years with the Globe Fire Department.
K9 Evo worked diligently in our community. K9 Evo received training in accelerant detection and article searches by Commander Baxley from the Gila County Sheriff’s Department. K9 Evo was certified through the North American Police Dog Work Association. K9 Evo was deployed throughout the State of Arizona which included 11 of the 15 counties to assist many local, state and federal agencies with various assignments. Evo was accredited in sixty (60) arrest and multiple convictions of arsonist which included five (5) arrests in a homicide /arson case. K9 Evo was recognized by the Department of Justice and the FBI for her efforts and assistance in dismantling a violent crime organization. This is one of the highest honors that you can receive. K9 Evo served our community with pride, honor and courage.
In 2021, K9 Evo retired alongside her handler, Fire Marshall Joe Bracamonte. K9 Evo carried on the tradition of her predecessor K9 Frank with the Christmas Cheer program where she visited multiple nursing homes during the holidays spreading love among the residents. K9 Evo visited the local schools and helped teach the importance of fire prevention with the students. These were some of the biggest highlights as she loved to spend time with the elders and the children of our community.
K9 Evo has served our community with pride, honor and courage. She has enjoyed life to the fullest with her handler Retired Fire Marshall Joe Bracamonte. Until we meet again, fly high mama to the rainbow bridge. We all love you and you will be missed.

R.I.P mighty warrior, the true sense of service for a hero that needed no cape to show courage, service and love to his country. Cross the rainbow bridge, enjoy the warm soothing waters of endless play and love, where tennis balls are aplenty, copious nose boops, and endless treats of SnauSages the cheesy bacon flavored ones. We will cry, laugh and then cry some more. Tomorrow brings a new day.Descanse en Paz Carino Hermoso y que Dios ti bendiga..❤
