Born: December 31, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois
Died: July 28, 2023 in Toulon, Illinois
Daniel A. Gilsdorf, 52, of Princeton, passed away on Friday, July, 28 2023 at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. He was born on December 31, 1970 to Albert and Marie (Russ) Gilsdorf in Chicago, Illinois. He married Latisha Stackhouse in 2012 and they were married for 10 wonderful years.
Surviving are his wife, Latisha; two sons, Devin and Jonathan; two grandsons, a granddaughter; and one sister, Linda (Todd) Brokaw. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Daniel was always hardworking and wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He was always staying busy doing housework or fixing up the house. Daniel worked in construction most of his life, so he could build just about anything with his woodworking skills. He loved music, especially Twisted Sister, he went to many concerts. His mom and dad were his everything and he cared for them until the end. Daniel was a kindhearted and genuine guy who would help anybody if they needed
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. The funeral service will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or an Animal Rescue.
