Glenn L. Andersen, 61 of Ohio, died Sunday October 26, 2025 at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling.
He was born on October 4, 1964 in Princeton, IL the son of Harold and Betty (Hardy) Andersen. After graduating from Ohio High School, he went to work for the Princeton Mushroom Corporation where he worked there for many years. He then moved to Marshalltown, IA and worked at MEPCO Corporation as a C&C operator. From there he moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan where he helped set up their business and worked at that location for about 5 years. He moved back to Walnut and worked for EBE Industries for a short time until he was diagnosed with lung cancer. It is a battle he has fought for 16 years. He leaves behind his cat "Misty" he found in Grand Rapids, MI. There was not a cat or a stray cat that he didn't love by feeding them and caring for them. Glenn was a NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan among others as well as a diehard Bears fan.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Andersen; his daughter April Normon of Fulton, IL and Tanya Andersen of Albany, IL; three grandchildren: Kearston Normon, Tate Normon and Kaylee Pell; his sister, Ann (Branson) Lawrence of St. Louis, MO; his brother Gary Andersen of Dixon; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Harvey (Fern) Andersen; Eugene (Evelyn) Hardy; his father Harold Andersen.
