Jacqueline Louise Krager was born January 15, 1934, to Rena Cross Henkins and Marion (Stub) Brown Henkins. Jackie was a homemaker raising her children and then worked at the State of Il Tollway. She married Donald Charles Krager Sr on July 29, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2007, together they raised 7 kids.
Jackie found joy being surrounded by family and friends whom she loved to play cards (lots of cards) with. She also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs (especially when they won the world series in 2016), Crocheting, Quilting, Embroidering & Camping. She loved having family gatherings, especially her weenie roasts.
Jackie is survived by her seven children: Donald (Jana) Krager, Jr of Forney, Tx, Norma (Bill) Eller of El Dorado, KS, Janet (Bill) Shaw of Amboy, Milford (Shirley) Krager of Mendota, Dennis (Laurie) Krager of Amboy, Doug (Christine) Krager of Dixon, Franny (Ed) Lilja of Amboy, 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren. Siblings: Deatta (Harold) Irelan of Chillicothe, JoBeth Walstrom of Mesa, AZ, & David (Molly) Ragan of Nashville, TN, Daniel (Carole) Krager of Loogootee, IN, Jean Ekblad of Milltown, WI and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband & parents; Grandson Seth Eller, Great Great Grandson Jude Shaw; Siblings; Peggy Sue Stallings, Stephanie Ann Henkins, Marvin Marion Henkins, Julia Lois McCullough, Bobby Wayne Henkins, Jack Walstrom, Ethel Fix, Henry (Bud) Fix & Paul Ekblad.
Funeral services will be on Saturday Oct. 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Burial will follow at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. Visitation will be on Saturday Oct. 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. My Mother, Nedda Simon, was Jackie´s friend and table mate at Liberty Village. They shared a special friendship and we learned about Jackie´s family and life. Our Mom passed last October and we still talk about the gift of their time together.
