James Tyner Obituary

James 'Jim' Allen Tyner
Born: January 1, 1968
Died: December 13, 2024
James "Jim" Allen Tyner, 55, of Malden, Illinois, passed away on December 13, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1968, in Munising, Michigan, and graduated from Princeton High School in 1987.
Jim was a master of many skills, working as a carpenter, electrician, and craftsman. He had a passion for creating and fixing things, always using his talents to make something special for the people he loved. When he wasn't working with his hands, Jim could be found outdoors: hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, or tending to his garden. He also had a love for cooking and canning, always sharing his homemade creations with family and friends.
More than anything, Jim was a great friend. He was always there when you needed him, with a story to tell, a helping hand, or something "extra" to brighten your day. He was well known and well loved, and he leaves behind a lifetime of memories and laughter.
Jim is survived by his only son, Dylan James Tyner Williams, and his stepmother, Arlene Tyner. He is also survived by his brother, Mike Tyner, and Mike's fiancée, Nancy Cisneros, along with their children, Jim's nephews, Michael Tyner, Steven Tyner, and Jay Cisneros. He leaves behind his sister, Patricia Renee Ihrig, and her children: Kihrsten Ihrig, Ian Ihrig, Kaitlynn Wollitz, Weseley Ihrig, and one great-nephew, Daniel. Jim is also survived by his half-sister, Tamara Lamz (Riley).
He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Patricia Tyner (Rivord); his adopted father, Thomas Tyner; his biological father, Michael Riley; and his nephew, Richard Cisneros.
A celebration of life will be held later this year when the weather is warmer. Details will be shared through Dylan when the time comes.
Jim will be remembered for his talent, generosity, and the many cool things he created, but most of all, for the love and kindness he shared with those around him.
