Died: July 11, 2023 in Princeton, Illinois
Karen H. O'Neill, 79, of Tiskilwa, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Liberty Village of Princeton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiskilwa, with Fr. Kevin Creegan and Deacon John Murphy officiating. Her family will receive friends from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of The Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton, with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. by Betty Brokaw. Additional visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the church. Private online condolences may be left for her family at www.FiocchiFuneralHomes.com
Karen was born on June 25, 1944, in Amboy to Donald and Dorothy (Oester) Friel. She was a class of 1962 graduate of Tiskilwa High School. She married John "Jerry" O'Neill on May 16, 1964, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiskilwa.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tiskilwa.
She is survived by: her children, Colleen Marie O'Neill of Bloomington, Robert John "BJ" O'Neill of Tiskilwa, and Ann Marie "Rooney" O'Neill of Dahinda, Illinois; 2 grandchildren, Kylie A. (Zachary) Hall of Texas, and Kearsten M. Personette of Tennessee; her siblings, Elizabeth Potts of Dixon, Margarite Kuchenbecker of Kentucky, Rose Woodyatt of Fulton, Don (Sandra) Friel of Tiskilwa, Jerry Friel of Tiskilwa, Regina Kunde of Dixon, Barbara (Jay) Perry of Tiskilwa, Robert (Susan) Friel of Tiskilwa, David Friel of Tiskilwa, and Steve (Deb Kirley) Friel of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Jerry on July 28, 2020; 4 brothers, Bernard "Bud", Delmar, Richard, and Johnny; and 2 sisters, Katy, and Carolyn "Nan".
Pallbearers will be: Cory Friel, Jim Friel, Mike Friel, Tom Friel, Mark Perry, and Craig Ziegler.
Memorials may be directed to the Tiskilwa Library.

I´m so so sorry for the loss of your mother, sister and or loved one!!! Karen was definitely one of a kind!!! We sure loved her up at IVI. She was a hoot and always a joy to have around and always there to help you. Lend an ear or anything else she could. I loved her dearly. Big hugs
