She enjoyed fishing with her late husband Doug. Melissa is survived by her son Shawn Dickey (Christine Jo Vorhies), 1 Grandson Adyn Dickey, 2 brothers Joey (Shannon) Merkel and Tracy Merkel, 2 sisters Sandy (Tim) Kuhn and Brenda (Mike) Adams and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Doug Dewaele; parents Joseph and Linda Merkel; and 1 brother Jeffrey Marine. There will be a memorial announced at a later date.
