I am still stunned by the sudden loss of my long time neighbor, Carol Gist. I first met Carol many years ago when she was my daughter's preschool teacher at Christ Episcopal Church. She was a loyal person and could be a staunch opponent! She was never one to mince words. Some good advice I got from her a few years ago when preparing for my son's wedding, was to bring along an extra pair of panty hose in case I got a run in my stockings. Wouldn't you know, that is exactly what happened. Good thing I took her practical advice! Carol, I will miss your deeply held convictions, opposing opinions and especially your good advice. Farewell and God Speed, Carol. Thanks for the memories!

I was stunned to learn of Carol's sudden death. As her neighbor, she was always a good friend and kind person. We'd walk our dogs together and chat about life. She was a good and genuine person. I miss her very much and want to write this public tribute to Carol Gist. May she rest in peace.
