Charles Jones, Obituary
Charles B. (Chuck) Jones, Jr. passed away on March 20, 2024 at Haven Hospice in Palatka with his family. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1948. His family has been longtime residents of Jacksonville Beach. He attended and graduated from Fletcher High School. He gave it the 'ole college try' and went to University of South Florida for a year or so. He returned home and went to work at Seashole Funeral Home in Riverside.
He then joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1967 and married his life mate, Jeannie Jones, in 1969. They lived in Elizabeth City, N. C. until his discharge in 1973. Then, they lived in the Atlanta area briefly while he attended Honeywell computer school. They returned to Jacksonville Beach and resided in the Jacksonville area for many years.
He wandered to the mountains of North Carolina and Georgia, building a home in each. He returned to the Jacksonville/Keystone Heights area where he had built a lake house on Lake Brooklyn and spent his remaining days between Jacksonville, Keystone Heights and traveling the world.
He is survived by his son, Charles (Chas) B. Jones III, his life mate, Jeannie Jones, his sister, Judy (Jones) McWilliams and brothers, Nathan Jones, Speedy Adams and Tommy Adams. He will also be missed by his two nieces and nephew as well as their children and other special family members.

I worked with Chuck at Prudential and spent time with him setting up a way to measure and predict our computer needs. It saddens me to learn of his passing and my sympathy goes out to Jeannie and family.
