Leo Jacks Obituary

LEO JACKS
Leo Jacks, age 77, of Atlantic Beach, FL, passed away on November 8, 2022, at Riverwood Center. He was born in Forest City, Arkansas to the late Authur and DeLorse People Jacks. Leo joined the Navy and met the love of his life, Brenda Oliver on a beautiful Sunday in June of 1965 as she left Church in Charleston, S.C. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on November 11th, 1967, and Brenda became his helpmate as he traveled across America while serving in the Navy. They were stationed from L.A. and San Diego on the West Coast to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba and finally to their forever home of Mayport Naval Station in 1982. After retiring as a Hull Technician Chief from the U.S. Navy, Leo went on to work in Supply with the Civil Service. He faithfully attended Second Missionary Baptist Church where he worshipped his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
In Leo's spare time, he greatly enjoyed fishing, bowling spending time with his family (especially his granddaughter, Amber), tinkering with his cars and fixing things up around the house. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Jacks.
Leo is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Jacks, his son, Michael Jacks of St. Petersburg, FL, and his granddaughter, Amber Jacks of Atlantic Beach, FL.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Beaches Memorial Park.
