Donna Tucker Obituary

Donna Tucker, 66, died Feb. 11, 2025, at Halifax Hospital in Deltona.
Born Nov. 29, 1958, Donna was affectionately known as "Mama Donna" or "Mimi."
She was celebrated for her loving, funny nature and her constant readiness to offer help or food to those in need.
Donna leaves behind a loving family, including her sons, Jason Tucker and Jacob Avirett; daughters Jessica Abassi, Judy Tucker and Joanna Galvan and son-in-law, Jay Galvan; grandchildren Heath, Shannan, Tristen, Jaylynd, Treviana, Kye and Adrian; four grandchildren, who wish to remain anonymous, and two great-grandchildren, Mathyn and Katalina. She also held a special place in her heart for Debbie and Blossom, whom she loved as her own children.
Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Leigh Tucker; her parents; brothers Lonnie, Alfred and Billy; and sisters Martha, Sue and Barbara, along with many other relatives who have passed before her, including her husband, Harold Jackson.
Donna's hobbies included cooking, thrift-store shopping and watching crime documentaries, activities that brought her much joy and relaxation.
As a pillar of kindness and care in her community in both Volusia County and Faison, North Carolina, where she lived for many years, Donna's memory will be cherished and kept alive by the many lives she touched.
