Steven Lucas Obituary

ST. PETERSBURG - Steven M. Lucas went to be with the Lord Sept. 1, 2022, after battling brain cancer.
He is survived by his loving parents, Paul and Sandra, sister Monica, and a brother Nick, as well as many family members. Steve made friends wherever he went, and there are many who
grieve the loss of a great friend.
Born in Miami and growing up in St. Petersburg, Steve came to Stetson University in 1989 on a full scholarship to study music. He was blessed with a beautiful tenor voice.
In DeLand, he sang at First United Methodist Church for several years, and studied voice with the late Robert Rich.
He will be greatly missed.

He was my uncle. I never really knew him. I heard him sing once and he was amazing. He was really funny and kind. I will never forget him. I last spoke to him July 4, 2022.

I just found out about Steve's passing today. I had been trying to contact him via his LinkedIn account since I last spoke to him on August 6, 2022. I am devasted to hear about his transition. I met Steve when I lived in NYC and we clicked from the very first time we met. The news of his passing has been hard. If anyone from his family can reach out to me, that would be greatly appreciated.
