EDWARD E. "ED" TURNER

EDWARD "ED" E. TURNER Edward "Ed" E. Turner, 81 of Ashland, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2024, in the home that he was born in. He was born May 3, 1942, the son of Lonnie and Cora (Twyford) Turner. He married Linda Essex at the Central Christian Church in Jacksonville on July 10, 1964, and she survives. He is also survived by one son, Nick (Stacie) Turner of Springfield; one daughter, Lora (Philip) Wyatt of Lago Vista,Texas; two grandchildren, Ian and Lauren Turner, both of Springfield; two step-grandchildren, Hannah Wyatt of Boston Ma, and Hollie Wyatt of Springfield; one brother, Charles (deceased wife, Linda) Turner of Ashland; two sisters, Anna Mae (deceased husband, David) Gentry and Thelma (Clyde) Waggener-Hazelwood, both of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and William D. Turner, and two sisters, Mary Lena Turner and Rena Dixon. Ed farmed and raised livestock for most of his life. He was a man of many talents and was always working hard and staying busy. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
