Randy Turner

Randy Evans Turner passed away March 27, 2026 in his home surrounded by his wife and children. Randy was born June 7, 1952 to Charles Elmo Turner and Melva Lois Evans Turner, just minutes after his twin brother, Robin. Randy married the love of his life, Sheree Turner, on June 9, 1977, in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Randy's roots run strong and deep in South Jordan, Utah. He was born and raised there, raised his own family there, and passed away in his beloved hometown. He established many deep and lasting friendships over the years and made many laugh with his quick wit and humor. He served many in his lifetime and had a special connection with the youth. He was a mentor, leader, and hero to many with his ability to be slow with judgement and quick with love. He had the beautiful ability to make friends quickly, forge a bond with them, and make them feel seen and special - whether it was at work, church, the gas station, or at a ballfield for his own kids or grandkids. He was genuine and welcoming to all, no matter the station or standing of one's life. His family could rarely go anywhere with him without him knowing someone or striking up a conversation with someone new like they were a lifelong friend. He was a giant of man not only physically but in spirit. Despite his numerous health challenges over the years, he always continued to have a positive outlook on life. His smile, humor, and goodness will be greatly missed.

Randy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sheree; their four beautiful children Travis (Karlee) Turner, Marissa (Ryan) Hafen, Ashlee (Bryan) Erickson, and Dallin (Joslyn) Turner, and his 14 grandchildren; his siblings Robin Turner, Jill Turner, Jean Soulier, and Lisa Runyon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Lois Turner, and brother Kerry.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, April 1, from 6-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, at 11:00 am at the South Jordan Highland Stake Center at 10227 S. 4000 W. South Jordan, with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Interment will follow at the South Jordan City Cemetery.
