Abram Epp Obituary

Abram W. "Abe" Epp, 100, Lincoln, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007. Born Feb. 4, 1907, to Henry P. and Anna (Wiebe) Epp near Plymouth, Neb. Taught vocational agriculture and agricultural economics for 47 years. Member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Involved in numerous civic and professional organizations including Kiwanis Club, Boy Scouts, Y.M.C.A and American Farm Managers Association.

Survived by son, daughter-in-law, Donald J. and Cathryn C. Epp, State College, Pa.; daughter, son-in-law, Patricia and James R. Dolan, Portage, Mich.; grandchildren, spouses, Eric and Sara Epp, Amy Epp and Kevin Dodge, Pamela and Lane Pille, Robert Dolan; two great-granddaughters, Anna and Sarah Pille; stepdaughter, spouse, Karen and Ed Bohn; stepson, spouse, Kent and Karma Marlatt; stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Preceded in death by first wife, Edith; second wife, Ethel; parents, six brothers and one sister.

Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, First Lutheran Church, 1551 S. 70th, Lincoln, Pastor Harlan Heier and Past Bob Chitwood officiating. A private graveside service was held. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to the People's City Mission, Eastmont Towers Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
