Emma T. Von Busch
Emma T. Von Busch, 85, of Lincoln passed away on Sept. 2, 2017. She was born on March 2, 1932 in Firth to Peter and Christina (Schmidt) Meints. Emma was a homemaker to her children and helped run their family businesses, Von Busch and Sons (Lincoln) and Sanitary Garbage Co. (Beatrice), with her husband, Jake Von Busch, Jr. She was a member of American Lutheran Church and a member of the Church Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Family members include her sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis (Reva) Von Busch, Richard (Joan) Von Busch and Bruce (Paula) Von Busch; as well as her daughter: Debora Bell, all of Lincoln; her grandchildren: Janelle L. Swanson, Christopher J. Bell, Nicholas J. Von Busch, Jason S. Von Busch, Adam L. Von Busch, Alicia K. Pasho, Grayson McNemar-Von Busch; her step-grandchildren, Haley Leach and Michael Spellman; her eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Norma Reichwaldt and Karen (Jim) Kerl; her brothers, Virgil (Mary) Meints and Leroy (Sharon) Meints, all of Lincoln; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Jake, Jr.; her son, Steven; her brother, Emil; and her sister, Engeline.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, located at 4300 O St. in Lincoln.
Memorials may be given to the American Lutheran Church, located at 4200 Vine St., Lincoln, NE 68503.
Visitation with family will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at Roper and Sons, with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.
