Jeffrei D. Morgan, 39, of Plymouth died unexpectedly at the Beatrice Community Hospital Friday, Aug. 13, 2010.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1970, at Belleville, Kan. He attended Tri County Schools and graduated from Diller High School in 1989. He attended Highland Jr. College of Highland, Kan., for two years and then worked for NEAPCO as a machinist until 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, midget car racing and all sports.
Survivors include his daughter, Shelby Morgan of Sterling; his mother, Peggy Morgan of Plymouth; one brother, Jon Morgan and wife Amy of Odell; four sisters, Kim Lord and husband Steve of Omaha, Rachel Schulz and husband Mike of Belleville, Kan., Julie Schmidt and husband Joel of Plymouth and Jerri Lynn Neemann and husband Gene of Lincoln; girlfriend, Wendy Hunter of Plymouth; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Morgan; his daughter, Taylor Morgan; grandparents, Fred and Gladys Morgan and Emil and Lula Novak.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Plymouth Community Center of Plymouth, with casual dress requested. Cremation will follow the funeral service and inurnment of the cremains will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Shelby's college fund with the Fox Funeral Home in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home, 19th and Garfield, Beatrice, from noon Saturday until 6 p.m. and at the Fox Funeral Home of Plymouth from noon Sunday until 9 p.m. Monday and at the community center one hour preceding the services on Tuesday.
