John and Ann Henderson

John Edward Henderson was born June 3, 1930, and passed away May 7, 2025. He was born in Hebron, Nebraska, and later moved to Beatrice, Nebraska, in 1931. He passed away peacefully with his wife by his side in San Juan Capistrano, California.

In 1954, John joined his father working at the family dealership, Paul Henderson Motor Company. After his father's death, he owned and operated the dealership until 1978 when he sold the business. John continued as a salesperson at the dealership until he retired in 2006.

Ann Henderson passed away peacefully July 13, 2025 in San Juan Capistrano, California. She died of a broken heart, as her husband John passed away two months earlier.

John and Ann Henderson were married on August 6, 1952, at Christ Church Episcopal in Beatrice, and had celebrated - 72 - years of marriage together.

Joint Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, at Christ Church Episcopal in Beatrice. The service will be livestreamed by the church. There will be no viewing, but a register book will be available from 1 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. Burial of ashes will be at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the Christ Church Foundation, American Heart Association, and the Nebraska PEO Home in Beatrice with the funeral home in charge.
