Joshua Wiens, 28, Beatrice, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center, Lincoln. Born Sept. 23, 1979, in Colby, Kan. Owned, designed, and manufactured Easy Haul Car Transport Trailers.
Survivors: parents, Brenda and Scott Wiens, rural Beatrice; fiance, Mindy Vance of Lincoln; sister, Shely Bauman of Beatrice; brothers, Andrew Wiens and Jarrod Wiens of Hastings; grandparents, Ron and Kay Wiens of Beatrice, Lowell and Emily Hatfield of Fairmont, Minn.; great-grandmother, Lydia Mann of Beatrice.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, First Mennonite Church, west of Beatrice on Highway 4, Beatrice. Burial: church cemetery. Visitation: 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday, Harman-Wright Mortuary, Seventh and Elk streets, Beatrice, and one hour preceding services at church. Family will greet friends at the mortuary from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials established to the family's choice or Josh Wiens BHS Wrestling Memorial Scholarship Fund with the mortuary in charge.
