Larry L. Gritz, 54, of Beatrice, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at his home. He was born July 25, 1960, at Beatrice.
He attended Beatrice High School before going to the Job Corp in Excelsior Springs, Mo., and then he attended Lincoln School of Commerce. He worked at BSDC for 11 years, Sears part-time, Purina Pet Foods in Lincoln, and most recently at AGP Elevator for 14 years in Lincoln. He enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, Huskers and Dallas Cowboys.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Connie Brady and husband Justin of Beatrice; parents, Fred and Betty (White) Gritz; sister, Brenda Hippen and husband Dennis of Virginia, Neb.; special friend, Carol Letcher of Beatrice; nieces and nephew, Stephanie Whitlinger and husband Dan of Hickman, Justin Hippen and wife Heather of Virginia, Neb., Nicole Behrends and husband Jacob of Lincoln; great-nieces and nephews, Kinley, Jordan, Ryliegh, Jackson, Mason and Jace; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two cousins, Greg and Ricky.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at the American Lutheran Church, Filley, with Vicar LuRae Hallstrom, officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery, Beatrice. Visitation will be held at the Harman-Wright Mortuary Sunday Noon to 9 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A register book is also available online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com for messages on condolence.
