Logan R. Carroll, 13, of rural Beatrice died at his home on Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, 2012.
He was born on March 31, 1998, at Arlington, Texas, and moved to Beatrice in 2005. He attended Stoddard Elementary and was an eighth grader at Beatrice Middle School. He was an amateur disc jockey and had recently hosted a benefit at the 429 Factory for a friend who has cancer. He enjoyed drawing, video games, movies, hanging with friends and animals, especially his cat, Nikko.
Survivors include his parents, John and Angie Redd Carroll of rural Beatrice; sister, Ashley Carroll of Beatrice; grandparents, John Redd and wife Brenda of Sour Lake, Texas, Wanda Redd of Sweeny, Texas, John and Linda Carroll of Tolland, Conn.; great-grandmother, Bessie Richardson of Sweeney, Texas; two aunts, Amy Redd of Houston, Texas, and Noelle Olesh and husband Tom of Doylestown, Pa.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Christ Community Church of Beatrice with Pastor Jack Magness officiating. The body has been cremated. There will be no viewing. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. at the church on Saturday. A memorial has been established to the family's choice. A guest book for signatures will be available at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday evening and at the church one hour preceding the services on Saturday.
