Marlene Joyce Ossowski

Marlene Joyce Ossowski, age 81, passed away on August 1, 2024 at Beatrice Good Samaritan Society. She was born on March 9, 1943 at Holmesville, where she spent her childhood. She graduated from Holmesville High School in 1961.
She married Robert Ossowski on January 27, 1962 at the Holmesville Church of the Brethren. They lived in the Wymore area most of her married life. She worked for the Beatrice Credit Bureau, The Martin Luther Home, and was later Co-Owner of Bob's Service in Wymore. After selling Bob's Service, she returned to work at the Martin Luther Home where she retired in 2004. After retirement, she became at Foster Grandparent at Wymore Head Start Program. She was a member of the Wymore Church of Christ where she was a deaconess. She enjoyed being with her family and friends - especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, Sheri (Daniel) Yockel of Wymore; son, Steve (Michelle) Ossowski of Roca, NE; grandchildren: Rachel Skarka, Ben (Sheena) Yockel, Kyle (Paige) Yockel, Seth (Serenity) Ossowski, Travis Ossowski, and Ryleigh Ossowski; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sonja Wrightsman; brother-in-law, Larry Ossowski; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Elsie (Sage) Wrightsman; brother, Don Wrightsman; twin granddaughters, Leah and Madison Ossowski; daughter-in-law, Shirley Ossowski; sisters-in-law, Donna Aden, Bev Ossowski and Norma Ossowski; brothers-in-law, Dick Ossowski, Norman Ossowski, and Melvin Aden.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on August 17, 2024 at the Blue Springs Cemetery with Clayton Lundstedt officiating. Casual dress is requested. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A register book will be available for signature at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home on August 16th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wymore Church of Christ or Angel's Landing at Beatrice Good Samaritan Society with the funeral home in charge. We encourage all who knew and loved Marlene to leave memories and upload photos to her memory page at www.ghchapel.com.
