Teresa A. Collier, 56, Beatrice, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Sept 24, 2014. She was born Nov. 3, 1957 in Blue Island, Ill.
Terry raised her children in Texas City, Texas, where she worked at TCISD as a custodian. She was a member of the La Marque Presbyterian Church, where she loved singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school.
Her favorite past times were playing with her grandchildren, being with family, planting flowers and sewing with her sister Patty.
Terry moved back to Beatrice three years ago, where she went to work for Beatrice ISD as a custodian at the high school.
She really enjoyed it when her brother Anthony was there. They liked sneaking up and scaring one another.
Teresa is survived by her three daughters Samantha Totty and husband Todd, Amy Collier, Patricia Hamilton and husband Joey. Her mother JoAnne Wester of Beatrice. grandchildren: Tyler, Ashlyn, David, Payton and Pierce. Siblings: Patty Hortman and husband Ron, Anthony Wester, Matthew Wester and wife Debbie, and Candle Wester; nieces and nephews, Tracy Broussard and husband Aaron, Erin Oden and husband Tyson, Jesse Wester, Wendy Hortman, Heath Wester, Malary Wester, Harley Wester, Misty Erlund and husband Jess, Patrick Elizondo and Melissa Elizondo; great niece and nephews, Avery, Garrison, Silas, Keifer, Kanon, Hailey, Tori and Tara. Step Mother: Reba Wester
She is preceded in death by father, Warren Wester, twin siblings Dennis and Denise Wester, grandparents: Harold and Olga Wester, Charles and Mildred Hansen.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the First Baptist Church, 1025 N. 16th St. in Beatrice, with Rev. Theodora Boolin, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to AseraCare Hospice, Beatrice Humane Society or the Beatrice Education Foundation.
Terry's favorite color is purple, in honor of Terry if you would like to wear purple or something with purple in it, please do so.
