Vonda Lea (Spargur) Roberts-Garland
June 1, 1928 - December 24, 2023

She entered into her Lord's kingdom on December 24, 2023 at the age of 95. Vonda was born on June 1, 1928 in Rosemont, Nebraska to Leonard and Delma (Saxton) Spargur. She was a 1946 graduate of Wymore High School. On September 26, 1948, she was united in marriage to Forrest "Bud" Roberts. After Bud's passing, she found companionship and love again, and on February 14, 2013 was married to Jerry Garland.

She was very involved with the Great Plains Welsh Heritage Project and played the Wymore Fight Song at yearly alumni banquets.

Her thoughtful nature and ability to make others smile was a testament to her character. "A life is like a song we write in our own tone and key, each life we touch reflects a note that forms the melody. So when someone we love departs, in memory we find their song plays on within the hearts of those they left behind."
