William R. Brandt
William (Bill) Robert Brandt, 66, of Las Vegas, Nev. passed away on Dec. 1, 2017. He was born March 9, 1951 in Beatrice to Robert W. and Ida M. Witte-Brandt. He graduated from Beatrice High School and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was a long-time Lincoln resident before moving to Las Vegas in 2013.
He leaves his wife, Valora; his sons, Travis and wife, Emmeline and Nick and wife, Christina; his beloved granddaughters, Avery, Remington and Reagan, all of Las Vegas; his sister, Kelle Brandt of Lincoln; his sisters-in-law, Vicki Brandt and Valerie Parde, both of Lincoln; four nieces and one nephew; his aunt, Ella Schafer of Fairbury; as well as numerous grand-nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
His parents; his brother, Tom; his nephew-in-law, Elden Tuckers; and his parents-in-law, Harm and Marie Ideus, all preceded him in death. A reception in his honor was held on Dec. 23 in Las Vegas.
Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran, located at 701 N. Sixth St., with a reception following from noon to 3 p.m. at the Veterans' Club at 701 Dorsey St., both in Beatrice. A memorial has been established to family's choice for further designation.
