I didn't meet my brother until I was a pre-teen. Tony didn't allow circumstances we had no control over to keep us apart. Because of our age differences sibling rivalry didn't exist. Having another big brother was an asset. Because, No was never the final answer when you put on you sad face. Bullies would run in the other direction. Those out to break your heart would think twice. There was no shortage of protection. Tony was good- hearted. He always meant well and looked for the good in others. That quality moved him to be forgiving even in ways many would find difficult to do. He cherished his family as well as his friends. But most of all he cherished his relationship with his heavenly father. This treasure he would always bring out in our conversations. Something I will dearly miss. Especially his laughter. I would always make it a point to say something funny so that I could hear him laugh. Although our conversations have ceased at least for the moment, however the memories will never cease.

Uncle Tony, Im going to cherish the times we shared. Having you around while I was growing up was great. You saved us from some well deserved spankings. But you still managed to make sure you got on our case too but in a loving way. They say when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. With the comfort of knowing that youre loved and you loved us gives me peace.
