Arthur Moses

Arthur Moses, 94, a licensed barber, died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Trinity Mission Nursing Home, Clinton, MS. Visitation is today, 12:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Collins Northside Chapel in Jackson, MS with burial in the Garden Memorial Park. Collins Funeral Home, Inc. in Jackson is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Moses was born in Raymond, Mississippi to the late Samuel and Lydia Moses. He married Allie Mae Smith and to this union seven children were born. Following Allie's death he married Ethel Lee Spann and they became parents of two children. He joined Davis Hill, then Pilgrim Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He later joined Grace Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Ethel; daughters, Betty, Autherine, Ruth, Allie, and Sacha; and son, Michael. He was preceded in death by two children.
