Catherine Morehead

Catherine Marie Morehead, 90, of Port Arthur passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Gulf Health Care Center in Port Arthur. Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 14, 2007, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of friends and family took place from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2007, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Catherine was born on January 23, 1917, in Port Arthur, Texas to Tina and Joe Cascio. She worked at Kress Department Store in Port Arthur and owned Morehead Barber Shop along with her husband Grady Morehead who passed away in 1993. Catherine was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, co-workers, church members and nursing home residents and employees at Gulf Health Care. The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont for all the love and support they gave to Mrs. Morehead throughout her final days.
