Eugene Guidry

Eugene Guidry, 78, of Port Neches, Texas died Monday, December 22, 2008 at Christus St. Mary Hospital. Eugene was born March 10, 1930 in Gadon, Louisiana to Althee' Guidry and Azalie Richard Guidry. He was a resident of Port Neches for 57 years and member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He was a welder for Burton and Gulfport Shipyards and retired after 23 years of service. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2461 since 1967; Past Grand Knight and was a Dick Dowling Assembly 4th Degree Knight. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Levingston Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 5:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Loynee Hebert Guidry of Port Neches, TX; daughter, Tamara Carlos and husband, Robert of Port Acres, TX; sons, Richard Guidry and wife, Beth of Call, TX, Francis Guidry and wife, Becky of Nederland, TX; sisters, Hilda Perrin of Kaplan, LA, Irene Benoit and husband, Jim of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Lyness Guidry of Crowley, LA; nine grandchildren, Troy Guidry, Tari Donnely, Toni Deemr, Chad Guidry, Scott Guidry, Rion Carlos, Kyle Carlos, Casey Carlos, and Drew Carlos; and ten great-grandchildren.
