Gerald Weber Obituary

Gerald J. Weber, Sr., of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 78.He was born in Morgan City, Louisiana on May 22, 1929 to Aline and A. J. Weber, Sr. He lived in the Golden Triangle area for over 70 years. Gerald retired from Texaco as an operator after 35 years of service. He owned and operatored Weber's Air Conditioning and Refrigeration for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Catherines Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Gerald was known as a great chef, a friend to many and will be missed by all those that knew and loved him. Visitation was held on Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2007 at St. Catherines Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Guidry, Gerald John Weber III, Clint Weber, Dustin Weber, Gary Richards and Arnold Edgerly. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joe Macerias, Johnny Crenshaw, Randy and Ray Rogers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Weber and his parents, A. J., Sr. and Aline. He is survived by his wife, Macie Rogers Weber of Port Neches, Texas, his daughter, Lana Guidry and her husband, Carl of Port Arthur, Texas, his sons, Gerald J. Weber, Jr. and his wife, Jill of Kempner, Texas, Jeffery W. Weber and his wife, Terri of Humble, Texas, Kevin Dean Weber and Devin Jean Weber both of San Marcos, Texas and Terrance Lynn Weber of Austin, Texas, his stepsons, James Ray Rogers and his wife, Cheryl of LaBelle, Texas and Randy Rogers of Port Neches, Texas, his brother, A. J. Moon Weber Jr. and his wife, Joy of Port Arthur, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Carlana Gasca, Leigh-an Sonnier, Brian Guidry, Daphne Burleson, Gerald John Weber III, Ashley Weber, Kaitlan Weber, Helen Weber, Kala Stovall, Clint Weber, Dustin Weber, Corey Weber, Lindsey Weber and Kinzey Weber.
