I was in 17th Company at the Naval Academy. Glenn was our leader. We were fortunate to have his fine example of how an officer should conduct his duties. I thought of him often in subsequent years.

Glen was a great person. He inspired all of us in the 17th Company at the US Naval Academy, which he tutored as its company officer. He was an inspiration, treated all of us as younger brothers, and certainly had a role in our development as future naval officers.
May he rest in peace!

It is with great sadness that I learn about Glen's passing. He was one of my first skippers in VQ-2 when I was a JO. He took command at a difficult time in the squadron and soon had it in fighting shape. I credit him with starting the process of putting the NFO on equal footing with the Navy pilot. He and Polly were well liked and will be missed, Capt. Don East, USN (Ret.)

I served in VQ-2 from 1967 to 1969. Commander Hatch was my Commanding Officer. He had my complete respect, admiration and although today is a sad day, for me and my shipmates, he will always be our "Skipper". We toast you Sir!

I served under Capt. Hatch while in Rota, Spain during the late 60's. He was always a fair and well liked skipper. Our VQ vets recently held a reunion in San Antonio. We were hoping he would be able to join us. May you take comfort in knowing he was a terrific member of the Navy and highly respected by all who knew him.
Sincere Sympathy, Chuck Siblik VQ2 Rota vet.
