To the Harvey Ray Brown Sr. family: It was 1985-1986 when I was introduced to Port Neches, Lake Ivanhoe, Lufkin and Vidor, Texas, by Harvey Ray Brown Jr. It was one year's experiences in the golden triangle and I know it was truely an important part of my life. Families grow up so fast and our loved ones leave us to early. May you'all hold close to your heart all the cherished memories no-matter how big or small and continue to share Harvey's life with each generation to come. May God Bless you and take care of each other. Carolyn Lee Harwell Burch

Ray, I am so sorry about your dad, I know you two were very close. I pray God gives you the assurance you need in knowing your dad is at peace now. He was such a strong and brave sole. He was a oak tree, solid and his roots ran deep with the passion he had for his family and community. He will be greatly missed. May God Bless Cari and Spencer as well, I know this is very hard for them too. As now and forever, your loving friends, Jenny and Joey.

On behalf of the Groves Police Officer's Association, we would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Brown family. Mr. Brown dedicated many years in service to the school district. Our district is a better place because of his commitment, hard work and sacrifice.

Harvey Brown was my last living uncle. We lived in Nederland near Port Neches and had a strong football rivalry. I only have good memories family events. He has been a great support for his nieces and nephews. We will miss him very much.

Barbara, Ray & Tina,
There are no words.
What a fine man he was. He taught me how ski at Ivanhoe. I will cherish my childhood memories of him and his family with a smile.
