Herbert William "Herbie" Derese

Herbert Herbie William Derese, 58 of LaBelle, Texas died on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Huntsman Corporation. He was born on March 20, 1951 in Denver, Colorado to Herbert Harvey and Ethel Bartlett. He was later adopted by A.L. Derese. Herbie is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Dewisa Coleman Derese, son Chad Derese of Beaumont, Texas, step-son, Randy Coleman of Hernando, Mississippi, his brothers, Rick Harvey and wife Karen of North Glen, Colorado, Lester Derese of Groves, TX., brother in laws, Doug Coleman of San Augustine, TX. and David Coleman of Chireno, TX, his sisters Barbara Schilleci of Cypress, Texas and Brenda Derese of Port Neches, sisters in laws Debbie Welch of Vidor, TX.and Tracey Dowdle of Orangefield, TX., mother in law, Margie Hildabrant of Orangefield, TX., and 4 grandchildren. He was known as Herbie to family and Herb to co-workers. He was employed by the Huntsman Corporation as an operator for the last 11 years. Herbie loved to bar-b-que, ride around the acres on his golf cart and enjoy life on the bayou. He will be missed by all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Sunday, from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 29, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Officiating will be Brother Bill Fondren of LaBelle Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches.
