JOE EDWIN HODGE

Hodge Joe Edwin Hodge Joe E. Hodge, 75, of Vidor died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. A lifelong resident of Vidor, he was a retired owner operator of Farmers Insurance Agency in Vidor, where he enjoyed talking and helping his clients. He was a class of 1951 Vidor High School graduate. He loved to travel, and enjoyed being a park host at several state parks. He was an avid deer hunter and outdoorsman. He served his country in The United States Army. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Corine Hodge. Joe is survived by his wife Virginia Hodge of Vidor, sons Joe D. Hodge and wife Linda of Vidor, and Gary Hodge and wife Sue of Clearlake Shores, TX., daughter Laura Fielding and husband Keith of League City, TX., brother Charles Hodge, and sister Shirley Wood both of Vidor, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
